Volunteer Opportunities
We invite you to participate in Peace Connections activities! We
welcome all levels of experience. Or, if you'd like to offer a skill
that isn't covered in the list, just let us know.
Here
are some of the volunteer opportunities now available:
- Volunteer
with the Summer Food Program for Kids
- Plant,
weed, water, harvest or distribute produce from our Giving Garden
- Assist
our Gift Shop Manager to organize displays and order products (1-2
hours/week desired)
- Assist
customers and answer the phone (2 or more hours/week desired)
- Set up
for special events and provide hospitality
- Teach
young people how to bake bread (any weekday after school)
- Help
assemble newsletter mailings (1-2 hours, once every two months)
- Bake
bread on site to give away
- Make
cards for sale or thank you notes
Retired and Senior
Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Peace Connections is a volunter
station for the Harvey County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
(RSVP). If you are 55 years or older, you can join RSVP and be eligible
for extra volunteer benefits, such as free accident insurance and
reimbursement for mileage on volunteer assignments. There is no cost to

Wish List for Items
Besides volunteering time, you may consider donating materials. Here
are some items we'd like to have:
- Lockable garden shed
- Small cash register
- Sound system (microphone
and speakers)
- Digital Camera
- Presentation equipment
(laptop PC and connecting projector)
